Isla Verde is one of the major resort areas of
Puerto Rico. Located just a few minutes from the airport, Isla Verde
Avenue is home to
some of San Juan's best resort hotels and most exclusive beachfront condominiums. With a cosmopolitan mix of tourists and fun-loving
residents, this one of the most popular areas of San Juan. Our hotel is just
across a footbridge from Isla Verde Avenue.
Its easy to get to Isla Verde Avenue with all of the
restaurants, shops, 24-hour convenience stores, nightlife, casinos, resort
hotels and more...
Just go outside of the front door of our main entrance and you'll see a very nice palm-tree lined
park across the street. Follow the sidewalk between the rows of
palms until you reach the stairway to the overpass which crosses the highway.
There are 40 stairs to climb, and then a short walk
across the overpass. Once you reach the end of the overpass, you'll see
the Burger King, palm trees and the ocean beyond. Go down the stairs and
all the action of Isla Verde Avenue is just to your right.
Its an easy walk down Isla Verde Avenue, so have fun
and explore the
area. But until about 9pm, you can also jump on the A-5 local bus that
stops in front of the Howard Johnson Hotel. The bus is seventy-five
cents (exact change only) and will quickly bring you down to the bus stop by the
Inter-Continental Hotel & Casino. From here, its easy to explore the Ritz
Carlton & El San Juan Hotel & Casino and then walk back in the direction of the
overpass back to Coqui Inn.
