Our budget hotel is located near the airport and its
an easy drive to major shopping areas:
Plaza las Americas and Rio Piedras are easy to reach
by by car in about 10 minutes by crossing the Teodoro Moscoso Toll Bridge near
our hotel.
By driving past the airport on Baldoritory de
Castro, you reach Plaza Carolina in about 10 minutes.
Here, you can turn right for 65th
Infantry Highway for Sam's Club, Walmart, Mega-Marshalls, COSTCO & Home
Depot within a few minutes of each other.
If you continue past Plaza Carolina, you can take
the new Route 66 highway which leads directly to Beltz Factory Outlet in another
10 minutes. Beltz Factory Outlet has recently doubled in size and has plenty of
parking.
You can ship large boxes,
entire pallets, or purchase 55 or 75 gallon barrels to pack your purchases for
shipping (see photo below).

taxi drivers
or shipping consultants prior
to arrival
to make arrangements and get an estimate of
service fees the driver will charge.

Drivers will take you
shopping, help recommend the best stores
and provide the shipping barrels to pack your purchases. They can even
provide airport transfers.
If you purchase large items or goods packed on palettes, the drivers can
help arrange for delivery to the ocean freight receiving dock. If you
rent your own car for shopping, shipping consultants can deliver
barrels
to your hotel or meet you at a store to arrange delivery to the shipping
company.

 Drivers
and shipping consultants all charge a fee
(in addition to
shipping charges from the ocean freight company) based on your
shopping needs. The
drivers do not work on a commission basis - only by fees. Fees may vary based on the driver, type of
van, services offered, your schedule, where you go for shopping and how
many barrels you need to purchase.

and shipping consultants can help you estimate shipping cost. Barrels are charged at a flat rate depending on your
island (55 & 75 gallon sizes are available). Large boxes or palettes
are normally charged based on size rather than weight.

with paperwork and packing. Once you finish shopping, your driver will
take you to the shipping company office to fill out your
paperwork, make sure that purchases are ready for
shipping and check shipment schedules.

When you arrive home
- the shipping company
will notify you when your packages arrive. You have to clear your
packages through customs, pay duty charges (if applicable) and
